Lauki Halwa for Navratri fasting.

Lauki halwa is an Indian sweet dessert made from bottle gourd.

Ingredients:
- 3 cups grated lauki
- 500ml milk boiled
- 8tbs sugar 
- 3tbs ghee
- 5 cardamoms crushed
- 1/2 cup cashews



Preparation:
- In a deep pan mix the grated lauki and milk to boil together with a low flame.
- Keep on stirring
- Lauki will complete tempered and the milk will be reduced and evaporate.
- When the milk will reduce mix the crushed cardamoms and cashews nuts to the mixture.
- Add the ghee when all milks reduced from the mixture.
- Lastly add sugar and mix it with the halwa.
- Boil the halwa for few minutes, keep stiring the halwa.
- When the halwa become thicker switch off the flame.
- Serve the lauki halwa
- Serve it with hot or cold.
Perfect to eat in Navratri fasting.

Badam Halwa A Indian Festivals Recipe

Badam halwa is a  Indian sweet recipe which is usually made during festivals like Diwali, Holi, Raksha Bandhan and so on. It is made on special occasions as well.Usually served along with the meal.  So if you want you can spread into thali or plate evenly. Once cools, You can cut into square or diamond shape.And serve it.

Badam  Halwa


Ingredients:
  • Badam - (Almonds) - 1 cup
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Ghee - 2 tablespoons
  • Chini - ( Sugar) - as per test
  • Kesar - (Saffron) - ½ cup
  • Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
  • Hot Water - 1 cup
Preparation:
  •       Take almonds in a bowl and add a cup of hot boiling water  
  •       And soak the almonds for at least 5 minutes.
  •       Drain the water and add it with cold water. 
  •       Then peel the almonds.
  •       Now take the almond and milk grind it and make a fine pest.
  •       Heat  ghee in a pan and put the almond-milk pest with it.
  •       Fry it till all the milk gets evaporated.
  •       Then add saffron and sugar as per test with it and mix well.
  •       Cooked 9 to 10 minutes.
  •       Add some saffron for garnishing .
  •       Serve it hot.

Odia Breakfast Suji Halwa

Today am discus about Indian food suji halwa. This food is prepare by  suji,cashew nut ,raisin sugar and salt. It is a most popular dish in India . This food is served as break first. This dish is a very popular sweet dish all over India and is made on religious occasions, as parsad.

Suji Halwa 

Ingredients:

  • Suji (rawa ) -200 gm
  • Chini ( Sugar) -as per test
  • Gheea (Ghee) -50 gm
  • Kaju ( Cashew Nut) – 30 gm
  • Kismis (Raisin)-30 gm
  • Teja Patra ( Bay Leaf)- 2 
  • Gola Maricha (Black Pepper)- 1 tsp
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Jeera -(Cumin) - 1 tsp

Preparation:
  • Heat a pan and add the rawa , fry it 10,12 minutes.
  • Fry it till the rawa change into golden brown color.
  • Heat 1/2 spoon of ghee in a pan and fry the cashew nut and raisin till the nuts turn little golden brown color.
  • Heat ghee in a pan add cumin .
  • When it splutter add bay leaves.
  • Then add cashew nut and raisin also water like double the amount of rawa to it.
  • Add sugar and salt as per taste. 
  • Boil it for sometime .
  • When it starts boiling add  rawa and stir it. 
  • After 9,10 minutes remove it
  • Garnishing with cashew nut and raisin.
  • Serve it hot.
